I am originally from Chattanooga Tennessee but I moved down to Tampa about nine years ago.
My current Major is Information Technology
Some interesting stuff about me is that I love movies, really anything filmed behind a camera and I've probably seen it. Controversial opinion is that The Lord of the Rings trilogy is better than the Original Trilogy of Star Wars. That being said, I'm a huge geek and love just about anything related to pop culture.
I am also really into building Legos and model Kits. Something about taking hundreds of small parts and building something awesome out of them it honestly really satisfying.
Video Games are a hobby of mine as well, Some of my favorites are the Witcher 3, Modern Warfare 2, Anything related to Halo as a series and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
I am also serving in the United States Army so physical fitness is a priority of mine as well. Therefore I like to stay active. I mentioned before That I grew up in Tennessee, well up there I used to Mountain bike a lot. I also love hiking on trails. In a few months I'll be traveling to Fort Gordon Georgia with my wife where I'll be stationed at for the next 9 months.
Finally I love Animals, Dogs especially. Don't get me wrong, cats are great, but Dogs are just so loyal and playful that They will always have a special place in my heart.
Besides my military experience, I work part time as an office assistant for Havertys Furniture, and I worked for a number of years as a Pharmacy Tech. I am, also attending School full time and am hoping to graduate this Spring.
This is my first time making a blog but I'm excited, and who knows, maybe I can add this to my growing list of hobbies. I do like how Blogs seem to be a lot more personal than some other platforms. I usually tend to stay away from social media, after all Envy is the thief of joy, but sharing memes and references with the little group chats I have is hilarious. I swear sharing memes with my wife has to count as a love language or something 😅. Well that's all for now, stay tuned for more in the following weeks!

If you leave for Georgia before the semester ends just let me know. You probably won't have any issues. I've had people take this class from all sorts of locations without problem but moving can pose connectivity issues. So better safe than sorry.
I'm a huge geek as well. I'm not sure that your evaluation of LOTR vs. the Star Wars Trilogy is wrong. The LOTR movies are cinematically of much better quality because of the availability of CGI that just wasn't available in the 1970s. Also, Tolkien is a better writer than Spielberg. Why others feel differently from you is probably a matter of age and perspective. For those of us old enough to have seen Star Wars for the 1st time on the big screen in 1977, we had never seen anything like it. The opening scene alone blew our minds. It changed the way we precieved the world around us. Many people read LOTR before the movies came out and even if they didn't, it's clearly fantasy. It is hard for me to say that the LOTR is better because it didn't change anyone's perspective of the universe like Star Wars did.
